Waka introduces the WSC series of MPPT solar charge modules. These modules can be used in systems for compact independent solar power supplies that use lithium-ion batteries.

The WSC series adapts MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) for charging control system. MPPT differs from conventional PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) system, in that surplus voltage is converted to electric current for charging. As a result, the charging efficiency increases by approximately 20% with MPPT. By MPPT, the charging is possible in adverse conditions, such as when it is raining or cloudy, as is the installation of equipment in locations where daylight hours are short. It is possible to realize more compact panels and batteries, thereby suiting the need for smaller, more lightweight equipment. Customers can realize lower costs with our unique designs for MPPT, which until now has been expensive.

  • WSC2001EX: This product is the extended version of WSC2001. 1A maximum output current, 4.2V to 26V output voltage, overcharging protection, overheating protection, battery non-connection detection, over current protection, over discharge protection, external temp sensor, status LED, and AC adapter charging function. Recommended for 5W to 30W solar panel.
  • WSC5002: This is for mid-range solar panel such as 100W. This module has 50 x 30 x 9mm size, 30g weight, 2A maximum output current, 12.3V to 26V output voltage, overcharging protection, and overheating protection. Recommended for 10W to 100W solar panel.
  • WSC5002EX: This product is the extended version of WSC5002 with 91 x 49 x 20.1mm size, 77g weight. 2A maximum output current, 12.3V to 26V output voltage, overcharging protection, overheating protection, battery non-connection detection, over current protection, over discharge protection, external temp sensor, status LED, and AC adapter charging function. Recommended for 10W to 100W solar panel.
  • WSC10008: This is for higher capacity solar panel such as 150W. This module has 91 x 55 x 20.1mm size, 80g weight, 8A maximum output current, 12.3V to 26V output voltage, overcharging protection, overheating protection, battery non-connection detection, over current protection, over discharge protection, external temp sensor, status LED, and AC adapter charging function. Recommended for 70W to 150W solar panel.
